About Crafting
The LitCraft crafting bench as a standalone app: an always-open 5x5 crafting table with your whole inventory beside it, one tile per item with its name under the picture. Drag an item onto the table cell where it should go and all of it goes there; or tap the item, then the cell, to put one there at a time — after that tap a small panel with a slider, minus and plus buttons and a count lets you set how many the cell holds. Craft once the table holds a recipe. Each ingredient of a recipe must sit in one stack holding enough of it, so put the full amount into a single cell. Tiles on the table can be moved, or dragged back onto the inventory to return them. It is a tool rather than a game — there is no score, no run and no reward claim of its own.
It works on your real LitCraft inventory. Items consumed are really consumed and items crafted really appear, so what you make here is available in the Inventory arche, in the other games, and in the LitCraft native client. Items placed from the inventory are taken from your satchel and storage pages before your use bar, and items returned from the table go to your satchel.
The classic recipes are all here — Fire, Steel, Glass, Bricks, Cement, Nails and the chains built on them. Two reference panels help you find them: DISCOVERED RECIPES lists what you have learned and what your businesses have unlocked, one line per recipe, plus what your current tasks need — Pleeps, LitPets and the tool upgrade each get a row (the first two open the Pleeps guide), and a recipe a task needs that you have not learned yet is shown and marked so; it can put the ingredients of a recipe on the table for you with Place on table, and its search finds recipes by name or by ingredient (try "pet egg"); the PLEEPS AND LITPETS guide is a full chart you can zoom with two fingers or the mouse wheel and drag around.
Crafting drives a large part of the LitLegion task tree: twenty tasks complete here, most of them simply by owning the item you crafted — Craft Fire, Craft Steel, Craft Sticks, Craft a Saw, Craft Boards, Craft a Brick, Craft Cement, Craft a House, Craft Cloth, Craft Scissors, Craft Ornate Clothing, Craft a Salad, Find Iron Ore, Gather 50 Strawberries, and the Pleep recipes among them. Because the conditions are ownership-based, a task can also be satisfied by an item you obtained somewhere else entirely.
Beyond recipes the table makes the special crafts of the native client: 5 Grass alone become Sticks or Straw; a Pet Egg and a Magic tile make a Pleep; two Pleeps alone evolve; a Pleep given food, medicine, clothes, a hat, a house or stronger Magic improves; two fully improved Pleeps with a LitPet Token, two food, Magic and 1000 Heptals make a LitPet; a Bronze, Silver or Gold Chest opens with its key; a Book and a Scroll teach a recipe. When the table is short, Craft says what is missing.
Your mining Tool Level is read here too, shared with the Lit Mining arche, so tool upgrades made while mining are reflected on the bench.
