About sheetflow
SheetFlow is a full spreadsheet editor that runs inside Fias. Your workbooks live in the platform's data store, so they follow you across browsers and devices, and there is nothing to install or save — edits persist as you make them.
WORKBOOKS. The home screen lists every spreadsheet you own, in a table or grid view, with search, date filters, folders, favourites and a trash. You can create, rename, duplicate, delete and move workbooks between folders; deleting moves a workbook to trash rather than destroying it.
SHEETS. A workbook holds any number of sheets, shown as tabs. Sheets can be added, renamed, reordered, duplicated, hidden, protected, deleted, and copied into another workbook. Each sheet keeps its own undo history — switching tabs clears it, so an edit is only undoable while you are still on the sheet where you made it.
FORMULAS. Type = to start a formula. SheetFlow implements 134 functions across the arithmetic, logical, text, date, lookup and statistical families — SUM, SUMIF/SUMIFS, the COUNT variants, AVERAGE, IF/IFS/SWITCH, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, FILTER, LET, TEXT, date arithmetic, and regression helpers like SLOPE, INTERCEPT and CORREL. Formulas may reference other sheets with 'Sheet name'!A1 syntax, and named ranges can stand in for addresses. A function SheetFlow does not implement — XLOOKUP is the common example — evaluates to #NAME? rather than silently doing something else. Cross-sheet formulas recalculate when you switch to the sheet that holds them, not continuously, so a summary tab can lag a change made on a source tab until you visit it.
FORMATTING. Bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, font family and size, text and fill colour, horizontal and vertical alignment, text wrapping, borders, and merged cells. Number formats cover currency, accounting, financial, percentages, scientific, durations and dates, with custom-pattern editors for each. Date format tokens are UPPERCASE in SheetFlow (YYYY-MM-DD, not yyyy-mm-dd).
RULES. Conditional formatting restyles cells from their own values — single-colour rules, colour scales, data bars and icon sets. Data validation constrains what can be typed into a range: dropdowns, number and date bounds, checkboxes, or a custom formula, either warning on a bad entry or rejecting it outright.
WORKING WITH DATA. Sort a sheet by any column, filter rows by column conditions, find and replace across the sheet, and build group-by summaries in the pivot/summary panel. Sorting reorders rows in place, so formulas that point at fixed row numbers can end up meaning something different afterwards.
CHARTS. Bar, column, line, area, pie and scatter charts, anchored to a cell and wired to live ranges — including ranges on other sheets — so they follow the data rather than freezing a snapshot.
IMPORT AND EXPORT. Import CSV, modern Excel (.xlsx) and legacy Excel (.xls), either into the current workbook or as new sheets; the importer preserves number formats, styles and charts where it can and reports what it could not carry over. Export the active sheet as CSV, or the workbook as .xlsx. CSV carries values only — formulas, formatting and charts are not included.
VERSION HISTORY. Snapshots capture earlier states of a workbook, and any one can be restored.
FIAS AI. SheetFlow has no AI panel of its own — the assistant is the platform's, opened from the Fias header, and while SheetFlow is in front it can operate the editor for you. Ask in plain language and it will navigate and select, write values and formulas, format ranges, add conditional formatting and validation rules, sort, insert and delete rows, columns and sheets, build charts, undo, export, and create or open workbooks. It can also read: it asks SheetFlow for the workbook's structure (sheet names, sizes, column headers, rules, named ranges) and for the values in a range you point it at, so it can answer questions about the actual numbers — up to 400 non-empty cells at a time. For a figure over a larger sheet it writes the formula into an empty cell and reads the result back, leaving you an auditable spreadsheet rather than a number in a chat window. Its edits go through SheetFlow's own checks: a formula using an unimplemented function is rejected instead of landing as #NAME?, overwriting existing content is refused unless you asked for a replacement, an applied action is a single undo entry, a protected sheet stays untouched, and destructive requests raise an approval card first. Importing a file still needs you to click Import — the assistant cannot open a file picker — and drag-based work (fill handles, resizing rows and columns, moving charts) stays manual, as do sharing, folders and trash.
LIMITS. Everything runs in your browser against the platform data store. Very large sheets (tens of thousands of populated rows) stay usable but slow down. Asking the platform assistant to do something consumes your Fias AI credits at the platform's normal rate; SheetFlow adds no AI charges of its own.
