About Pickaxe
A sliding merge puzzle on a four-by-four grid. Slide the whole board up, down, left or right; every pickaxe slides as far as it can in that direction, and two of the same level that collide merge into the next level up. A new pickaxe appears after each move.
The chain runs from a level 1 pickaxe up to level 14, and forging a higher one is the whole objective. Because the board is small, the game is about keeping your best pickaxe cornered and not filling the grid with odd levels that cannot pair.
Controls are a swipe or an arrow key — one input per move, and the whole board responds; a swipe anywhere on the screen moves the board, not only one that starts on it. When no move is left the game tells you it is over and offers to collect your best pickaxe. The first pickaxe of each level from 6 up in a game gets a celebration, a bigger one from level 10. A question-mark button beside the board opens the instructions panel, the same one the LitCraft native client shows.
The LitLegion task Get Level 4 Pickaxe completes when you collect a level 4 pickaxe or higher: a pickaxe you forge counts once Collect puts it in your inventory, not at the merge, and one you already own completes the task when the game starts. Lit Mining also sweeps that task as an ownership check, so once you own the pickaxe it is credited whether or not you open this game again. Pickaxes you collect go to your real LitCraft inventory.
The board is saved to your LitCraft account exactly as it stands, so you resume mid-game — and the same board appears in the LitCraft native client. Collecting a pickaxe submits a reward claim, with the payout configured on the server.
