About Tex-Tiles

A modern slide-to-match puzzle with textiles, played against goals within a number of moves. Press on a textile and slide across touching textiles of the same kind, diagonals included, then let go to collect three or more; slide back to undo a step. The board falls in and new textiles drop from the top. Boards are square, from seven to nine cells a side, many of them shaped with holes, so the game fills the screen whether the phone is upright or sideways.

Only a loop makes a special: slide round and back onto the first textile, and the bigger the loop, the bigger the special. Four hatch a silk moth that flies off and strikes one of the level's goal targets, never another special; five make a Rocket that clears a row or a column; six a Bomb that clears the cells round it; seven or more a Super that clears every textile of one colour. An open slide, however long, only collects.

Tap a special to set it off where it stands; a tapped Super clears the commonest colour. Or slide it onto a touching textile: the two swap, so the special steps into that cell, a new row or column for a Rocket, and goes off from there, and a Super takes the colour of the textile it is slid onto. While the finger points, the board shows what it will hit. Slide two specials together for a bigger combo; two Rockets clear two rows and two columns. A special cannot be slid onto a hole, a box, a stone, a spool, a knotted textile or a cocoon, and such a slide costs no move.

Each level asks for goals within a set number of moves: textiles to collect, cloth to gather from under the textiles, boxes and stones to break, knots to snip, spools to wind by sliding their colour past them, golden cocoons to bring down. Run out of moves and the level starts again with a new deal. Each new special and obstacle comes in with a short guided lesson level; past the first forty the game makes its own levels, so it does not run out.

The textiles you collect fill a basket, and the reward claim when you win a level is keyed to exactly those textiles; a lost level claims nothing. Payouts are configured on the server.

Three LitLegion tasks track your progress through the levels, at level 10, level 30 and level 50. Your level is saved to your LitCraft account and shared with the LitCraft native client.
