About Litris
A falling-block puzzle on a twenty by twenty board with one twist that changes everything: the whole board turns. Pieces always fall down the screen, but a quarter turn clockwise or counter-clockwise brings any of the board's four edges to the bottom, so pieces can be sent toward any of the four edges and the board fills from every side rather than from the top. Each new piece appears in the centre; turn the board to aim it, slide it left or right, drop it faster, and rotate it to fit. A piece already falling turns with the board and heads for the new bottom edge.
Because of that, both full rows and full columns clear. A line built horizontally and a line built vertically are worth the same, and planning usually means setting up both at once.
Each of the four directions carries five bonuses worth 400 points each, and every line you clear toward that edge spends one of them. When all four directions have run out, all four refill to five, so spreading your clears across every edge keeps the bonuses coming for the whole run.
The fall speed steps up every sixty seconds, so a long run gets progressively harder regardless of how well the board is packed.
On a wide screen the two turn buttons sit in the sidebar beside the board; on a tall one the controls sit below it, rather than shrinking, so they stay the same size on a phone: rotate on the left, and on the right a pad that moves the piece left, right or down with the two board turns in its top corners. On a keyboard Q and E turn the board, the arrow keys or A, S and D move the piece, and up or W rotates it; a swipe moves the piece and a tap rotates it. Your best score is saved to your LitCraft account and shared with the LitCraft native client, and ending a run submits a reward claim with the payout configured on the server.
